Snapshot

Background back up (the ugliness was too much for me). Still in Majo's folder. Still without one's own paid server (I'm SO impatient). The same exact thing goes for all of my pics at WS. At least this means I'm not changing any link names.@_@

Feeling behind in the matters of communicating with friends (how IS everyone, anyway??). Just realized I forgot to answer my HS bio teacher's last email, and that was at least 2 months ago (or 1?). Those thank-you cards I bought for the two profs who wrote me recommendations (definitely more than 2 months ago) remain unsent (0_o). Inbox is beginning to overflow.

Behind in Roman history reading. Physics is truly a sucky class. Need to absolutely ace the genetics final. Still have not begged for regrade on 2nd exam in said genetics. Have to put up those recycling fliers. Greentimes (environmental group publication) needs to be edited because it's due Monday and I'm the editor/layout manager. Our group is royally screwed for our second experiment in animal behavior if we don't get reactions from the males.

I already GOT a new SS card and the BLOODY SAR form is still telling me that they can't match up my @#$%ing SS# with my DOB and my name. Urge to kill rising.

Thinking too much about the 3rd IY movie. Have about 5 tons of IY snippets in a blinkin' notebook but still not typed out. Have a bunch of sketches that I still haven't scanned. Have not colored anything, not even Jaken, who is essentially THREE colors. Have too many ideas for both IY fics and IY pics.

Dang, I am behind in LIFE! At least this time-wasting bit of an entry will be a good reminder...and there's no work tomorrow! WHOOT! Gonna buy foodcart food (ergo no cooking, ergo no WASHING DISHES!!!) and veg out...I mean, catch up on my life. Yeah.

**edit** Another pathetic thing. I missed Arthur Miller coming to campus and reading from his new play (Arthur Miller. Arthur MILLER! He freakin' wrote "Death of a Salesman"!!!!) because I friggin' thought it was LAST WEEK, when I had two exams on Friday and couldn't go anywhere. Well guess what, self? It's THIS week. It was YESTERDAY. I could've waited in a long line and gotten the tickets, but I had to be a dud. WTF is wrong with me?? Feeling lonely again.-_- **end edit**

Got this from Majo's LJ

But first, blog bg will be down til I get word of the new server I might be moving to. So y'all just have to deal with the whiteness and missing image tags for now.

And now...a nonsensical online questionaire thing (they have an acronym, but I can't remember it):

1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:

"But Picenum remained materially backward, barely literate," from The Oxford History of the Roman World. (Ya know, the closest book WOULD have been Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey if you hadn't just caught me trying to finish history reading...)

2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?:

I hate to say this but "air."

3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?:

Don't have a television. Ergo, don't watch TV. Ergo, don't remember.

4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is:

Er. 4:30 PM?

5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?:

4:15 PM. I'm turning into a mom.

6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?:

I have earphones on, thus rendering hearing things besides my computer impossible. That aside, I hear "One Day One Dream," the current IY OP from said earphones.

7: When did you last step outside? what were you doing?:

Coming home from work and getting stopped by construction workers for trying to walk past a bulldozer. Or some huge mobile thing that helps with building.

8: Before you came to this website, what did you look at?

The Witchspring sketchblog, in an attempt to fix the links, until I realized I couldn't edit my friend's entries.

9: What are you wearing?:

Lavender purple tanktop with turtleneck, white short sleeved cardigan thing, jeans, white socks, black shoes that are slightly too big.

10: Did you dream last night?

I'll bet it was about Sesshoumaru and Rin, even if I don't remember it.

11: When did you last laugh?

You need to define "laugh." Do you mean, thigh-slapping hilarity, shamefaced chuckling, maniacal giggling, or something else? I will say that the last time I was amused was...15 minutes ago, when my prof asked me in an email about how he was supposed to set up work-study (how am I supposed to know, Dr. W??).

12: what is on the walls of the room you are in?:

Really cheap white paint. A castle calendar, a cats calendar, a Lord of the Rings: Two Towers movie poster, an Ophelia (from Hamlet...is there another Ophelia?) poster, various light switches.

13: Seen anything weird lately?:

Yeah, when I looked in the mirror after getting out of bed this morning.

14: What do you think of this quiz?:

It is very much like all the other quizzes I've taken of this sort, which begs the question of why I'm taking it when I could be doing other stuff (like that history reading. Or Greentimes. Or writing). I puzzle myself.

15: What is the last film you saw?:

Er. If you're talking about the theatre, it was Peter Pan. If you're talking about anything that could constitute as a "movie," it would be "Kagami no naka no Mugenjou," the second IY movie (passably better than the 1st pointless thing, but still kinda "Eh.").

16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?:

That brand spankin' new laptop with all the toys I've wanted for so long. Tickets to go around the world and partake in excellent culinary fare. Manga. My own animation company so we can turn SR into a real anime. Or at least make music videos. Then I'll give the rest to dad.

17: Tell me something about you that I don't know:

You don't know anything about me, whoever you are.

18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?:

Eradicate ignorance.

19: Do you like to dance?:

Yes. In my room. By myself. To funky anime music and Japanese people trying too hard to speak English.

20: George Bush:

George Bush or George W. Bush? Big difference, man.

21: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?:

I plan to be happily single for the rest of my life, thank you, but since you asked... Rin.

22: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?:

I've always thought Sesshoumaru would be a good name to call my own baby boy. "Murder." Yup.

23: Would you ever consider living abroad?:

I consider it whenever roommate makes another doomsday prediction about the downfall of the U.S., which happens all too often and with which I all too often agree. But then that would be pessimistic of me, so I forget it and go on with my existence.

*********

I develop an attitude when I take these (or maybe it's "my attitude emerges").^^; But I'm in a good mood, really. Because if I were in a bad mood I wouldn't have taken this thing at all.^^;

Impossibly blue

That's the sky today. As an acquaintance of mine remarked, "There's not even like, a tint. It's all just one color." Yeah, real things typically have shaded areas and lit areas, but the sky today was one infinite canvas of the exact same BLUE. It was gorgeous and indescribable, really. Like, saying "light blue" or "deep blue" is just so...inadequate.

However, it was also completely and utterly FREEZING. Like, as I'm typing, my fingers are falling off. Of course the house chooses TODAY to shut off all the heating in the building (for "repairs"), with the promise that it'll be back on by 4:30. Guess what? It's NOT.@_@ My roommate had to wake me up this morning because it was so cold that I apparently turned off the alarm unconsciously and burrowed back into the blankets. Roommate then proceeded to leave because she couldn't take the cold anymore (where ever she was going had heating).@_@ I mean, ok, so it was in the 40s, which isn't too bad, but the windchill factor made it feel like 70 below zero.>_<

*fingers...falling...off...* Yeah, so I spent ALL Saturday and a lot of Sunday night doing little tweaks to my website that probably no one else notices besides me.^^; (Like changing buttons, intro descriptions, alt tags...) The art page got a bigger revamp than anywhere else, but it was mainly an organizational thing. Despite wanting to tear my hair out after it, I feel accomplished and organized.^^

Now I should go scan the rest of my sketch-a-days. Does anyone like any of them?;_;

**edit**(The following is one big fat SPOILER for FMA 25. Proceed at your own risk.)**end edit** WTF???????????????????

*The closest I can get to an LJ cut^^;*

They KILLED Hughes!!!!!!!!!!!! GUAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am a little behind on my FMA, but this is ridiculous! *curses a whole lot* Wow, I really want to spew some incredibly foul-mouthed expletives right now, but I can't. This blog needs to be more or less clean.

They FRIGGIN' KILLED him!

...I have no idea what to say. I think I'll go do something really boring, like read my genetics textbook, and then come back tomorrow to talk more calmly. Because right now I feel the urge to rant and rage and kick a few doors, except that it was an excellent episode so there's nothing really justificable to rant about, you know?

Yes, I'm a childish, childish little girl and I'm overreacting. I just don't like deaths. But it was a really GOOD episode, like wow, excellently done. I can't even really go into how well-done it was, because there would be too many points to bring up. And yet I can't help but HATE the episode.

Ok, going to stop.@_@ This ambivalence is killing me.
