Stalling

(Alice, if you're reading this, I responded verbosely to your question two entries ago in the comments.^_^)

Today I was forced to resign myself to the fact that my wallet is forever lost to me. So accordingly, I went and splurged on tea bags at the local grocery store.

The new "carpet" in the living room is now an ugly brown which, unbelievably, is even uglier than the ugly green from before. This might, however, be due to my slight bias in favor of the color green.

The hole in my bathroom ceiling is still there.

The radiator has miraculously stopped its infernal racket today (and forever?? *crosses fingers*), so I am a little less insane for it. Perhaps it did this out of pity for me and the mysterious, itchy, and painful insect bites which have blossomed on the underside of my left arm. Happily they do not look like any of the spider bite pictures I found online. I suspect chiggers, except I don't know if the itch is quite "intense" enough for those.

In terms of the more imaginative and less drab, I was up until quarter to five yesterday night finishing an assignment for my creative writing class. Despite its overall rushedness I am quite proud of how it turned out. This doesn't necessarily mean it's a great piece of work, but I measure my pride in a piece based on how much fun I had plugging away at it. Art has been reduced to random figure sketches on the backs of art history handouts, barely worth mentioning, much less scanning.

And now, I will quit stalling, start communing with my cup of Lady Grey, and plow through that mountain of cell bio problems.

What?

Good grief, did I miss something? All of a sudden everyone everywhere, from friends in Spain (or...ahem, Earlham) to random artist you've admired from a distance online, is being faced with earth-shattering decisions regarding the direction their life is taking.

Me, I'm just trying not to fail my next orgo exam. And grieving about my lost wallet and the 30 bucks that was in it. Along with a manga shop membership card.

Despite what anyone may say, drama in one's life is NOT FUN. Witness Saturday night/early Sunday morning. UNFUN UNFUN UNFUN. I figure since everyone is being vague and angsty I'm allowed to do so too. :p

And now some un-vague angst:

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS COMPOUND IS RACEMIC BUT THIS OTHER ONE IS OPTICALLY ACTIVE!!!!!
