While eating coffee cake...
So it turns out that what is most important to Americans is making sure that homosexuals are treated as sub-par human beings. Oh man, be careful of those gay people, you never know what horrible thing they might be capable of if they call themselves *gasp* MARRIED! Who knows, they might even end the War on Terror, and who'd want that??
I show my liberal colors. With pride.
Funny quote of the day (courtesy of a wonderful prof): "We gotta protect marriage, it's under attack!"
Or it would be funny, if it weren't so sad instead.
**edit** And now, thought-provoking quote of the day: "Life is a tragedy for those who feel, and a comedy for those who think." Taken from this girl, whose piece you all really should read. I feel much better now.^^ **end edit**

Mostly speechless. And brainfried.
It's over. It's allll over. If I didn't want to live in CA so badly, I'd up and move to Canada.

And what's today, everyone??
ELECTION DAY!
Everyone who can, vote! VOTE VOTE VOTE! Make your voice heard! Especially if you're around my age, so we can change the perception that young adults are apathetic and complain a lot but don't do much else. :p
On a more morally reprehensible note, these fake fliers were distributed yesterday which said that if we (Penn students) voted in Philly, we would lose state grant money. It's got both the College Democrats and the College Republicans riled, and frankly, it disgusts me. Whoever did it, you are an ignorant lowlife. Accept that and go throw yourself off a bridge or something so there's one less of you.
...right. Now I must shed the cloak of anger and continue my orgo cramming.
Funny quote of the day: "Well, it's no hair off my back..."

Obligatory end-of-week post
Busy like the bats of hell are after me.
Wallet...*ducks stuff being thrown at her*...I mean, uh, I finally got my paycheck yesterday, triple whee and then proceeded to reorder checks (I got these ones with cool Chinese characters on it! XD), withdraw cash, pay bills, buy groceries...
Well, at least it was a relatively loaded paycheck, for me, that is. Next week will certainly be skimpy, because I think it's one of those 6-hour-week ones. Oh poo.
Also bought...er, stuff. Will refrain from saying what stuff, only that it is cool stuff.
Work today was spent with the independent study student, both trying to train our bands into the voice recognition system so we could all take data without the oh-so-old-fashioned paper and pen/pencil. MG2W aka Virgil nearly gave me a stroke. He was so cooperative before too, I wonder what happened?@_@ We also proceeded to drive our prof crazy with our monotonous droning of band colors: "2RN, 2RN, 2RN, 2RN...NEWLINE, 2RN, 2RN, OYN, OYN, OYN, OYN... 2YL 2YL 2YL 2YL...."
Really, I'm surprised he lasted that long in the same room with us.
Too much work. Will have to skip work-work next Tuesday, which gives me guilt pangs. But I'd rather have guilt pangs than "I just failed that exam I'm so @#$%ing screwed" pangs. You know what I'm talking about?
Now, back to orgo-work. It never ends....!
**edit** Oh crud, and I forgot: HAPPY HALLOWEEN! And happy (a day belated) birthday, mom!!! I don't have a gift for you! Don't kill me please! **end edit**
